A CHAIRMAN’S HONORARIUM
TO THE KDITOa OT THE PEESB. Sir,—lt is noted that in your issue of Wednesday of this week containing a report of our last council meeting, it is mentioned that the chairman’s honorarium was fixed at £75 for the year. This statement is rather misleading as £75 is the amount voted each year as the chairman’s honorarium, but the chairman, Mr F. J. Monk, has never drawn more than £35 as honorarium in any one year during his term of office. —Yours, etc., P. BURGOYNE, County Engineer-Clerk. Kaikoura, December 13, 1940.
