INCREASE IN NOTE ISSUE STERLING EXCHANGE HIGHER Main movements in the return of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand'-for the week ending December 9 were an increase in the note issue of £667.251 and an increase of £51,6.36 in sterling exchange. Demand liabilities to the Slate rose by £745,533, while those to the banks fell by £1,205.547.
