Cucksey (Auckland ). .WOMEN’S WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY Beginning next Monday, “keep fit” classes will be held under the auspices of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary. The instructors are all well-known ■ physical cu lure experts, and different times and places have been arranged so | that everyone will be provided for. ! The auxiliary authorities desire that all those who have registered and who can possibly do so should attend one of these classes, as it is the wish of the Dominion executive that all trainees should take the keep fit course. CROCKFORD’S CLUK The first evening's play of a threenight Mitchell contract bridge match played at Crnekford's Club resulted as follows:—North and South: Miss V. Sapsford and Mr A. PKEBBLETON WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION To conclude their year's work, members of the Prebbleton Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union met at the home of Mrs Basher. A short address on home mission work was given by the Rev. G. R. Macrae. Rosemary Dulicu presented the hostess with a bouquet of roses. A "bring and buy” sale was held in aid of mission funds. A competition was won by Mcsdamcs Macrae, Hall,- and Joblin. SOCIAL CLUB’S DANCE The Hollywood Social Club held a "hard-up" dance for members and friends in the club-rooms this week. Proceeds will be given to assist the Public Services queen. Mr Colin Bowman's orchestra supplied the music, Mr A. Good played extras, and Mr C. Coman (club secretary) directed the programme. Prizes for the best costumes were won by Mrs J. Pilcher and j Mr A. Good.
