GRAND NATIONAL MEETING ' The New Zealand Whippet Racing ■ Club held its Grand National meeting at , Whippet Park, Portman street, last Saturday. Messrs Dent and Smith's Royden won in I'ie Free-for-AIl, Mr L. Solomon's Corroboree Ute Grand National Hurdles, and Mr T. J. Rigby’s Blaydon the Winter Cup. Results, finals only, were as follows: Novice Handicap, of £3— W. Young’s Magic Star 1, C. Atkinson’s Belfast Jack 2. Grand National Hurdles Handicap, 200 yards, of £7 10s—L. Solomon’s Corroboree I, Dent and Smith’s Royden 2, J. Mor- : ton’s Barney 3. Time. 12 2-sscc. Improvers’ Handicap, of £3—Mrs Burns? Silver Money 1, Belfast Jack 2. King George Second-class Handicap, of £4 and cup; 200 yards—S. Stubbs’s Conceit 1. G. Maher’s Tiger Rag 2, W. Bell s All Irish 3. Time, 11 3-s?cc. Nurserv Handicap—Doody and Latter s Blue Spar 1.
