MEDICAL BOARD SITS MEN EXAMINED AT ASHBURTON Seventeen volunteers for overseas service were examined by a medical board at Ashburton yesterday. Of these, 11 wore passed fit, one was classed temporarily unfit, and five were classed permanently unfit. Their names, excluding two not for publication. were;— W. A. Anderson, H. R. Anderson, A. D. Belcourt, J. B. Crawford, H. W. Farquhar, A. S. Lemon, M. N. Turnbull, D. M. Weir, N. A. Wilson, I. H. C. .Holland, C. B. Gallagher, L. J. Kennedy, W. Peddie. A. W. Cook, S. J. Letham. The medical board also examined six recruits for the territorial forces, five being classed fit and one temporarily unfit. TIMARU [From Our Own, Reporter.] TIMARU, July 26. A total of 101 men presented themselves for examination at sittings of medical boards yesterday and to-day.
