WEEK END SPORTS FIXTURES
To-day will off: a wide range of sports' attractions. In Rugby, Technical which has lost only one match this season, will meet Air Force (two losses this season), and Christchurch (one loss) will play Athletic at Lancaster Park, Other games will be New Brighton against Southern, Army against University, Old Boys against Linwood, and Albion against SunnySl 'The Association football matches between Canterbury and Wellington have been postponed through cancellation of the steamer services this week, but matches will now be played between Nomads and Thistle, at English Park, St. Albans and Western, at Malvern Park, Technical and Air Force, at Wigram, and Rangers and Rangers’ Reserve, at Spreydon, besides junior games. The chief Rugby League game will be Rakaia against Addington, at Sydenham Park, other games being Waimairi and Hornby, at Waimairi, and Linwood and Riccarton, at Linwood. Main hockey mtaches at Hagley Park will be Sydenham A and B, Trinity and University, RedclifEs and Selwyn, and Army and Techpical. Among other sports will be the Christ’s College v. St. Andrew’s College Rugby game, the Halswell road race for harriers, Hope Gibbons Shield and Grant Cup cycling at Yaldhurst, and annual basketball tournament games at Hagley Park. The Ashburton County Racing Club’s meeting will also be held.
