ACCIDENTS

FOUND LYING IN RIVER A. Ellrigg, aged 60, of 27 Onslow street, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital last evening, suffering from abrasions to his face and shock. He had been found in the Avon river near the corner of Kilmore street and Oxford terrace. His condition is satisfactory. FRACTURED LEG R. Evans, of 35 Princes street, Woolston, suffered a compound fracture of the right leg when truck wheels~lell on it at the Addington workshops early yesterday afternoon. He was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and his condition is reported to be satisfactory. MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED When the motor-cycle he was riding collided with a motor-car in Matheson’s road shortly after 7 o’clock last night, A. Holdsworth, aged 22, of 32 Roker street, suffered concussion and facial abrasions. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital, where his condition late last night was reported to be satisfactory.
