It was decided to place on record appreciation of. the services of Mr Gallagher as chairman for-eight years. . A welcome was given to Dr. A, J. Mason (medical superintendent), who has returned from a trip abroad. Mr Bryant, who has been a member of the board for 17 years, was appointed chairman. The appointment was made by drawing a name from a hat after even voting for Mr' Bryant and Mr Gallagher.
