SEASON’S EVENTS UNDER WAY Cross-country running clubs held wellattended runs on Saturday afternoon, and harriers began their training for the season’s big event,, the Takahe-Akarpa relay, which will be run on June 1. AIR FORCE CLUB A record attendance of members of the Air Force Harrier, Club followed a six-mile trail laid by H. F. Meredith from the residence of Mr and Mrs Harold Cox. Ford road, Opawa. The trail led to Horotane Valley and back home across country via Woolston. In the fast pack I. Watson showed outstanding form on the hills. P. Argue finished strongly, and W. Mackir.-non, former Otago representative. B. Burrell, and W. Cowan showed splendid form. In the intermediate pack, a. fast pace was maintained with J. Thom, A. Cundell, and C. W. Franks leading throughout to finish in that order. „ CHRISTCHURCH CLUB Christchurch Club members were the guests of the club captain, Mr T. H. Wilhelm, at a run from the Halswell Hall.
