NEW LABOUR PARTY FOR N.S.W.
MR LANG’S INTENTIONS (Received April 19, 7.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 19. The former official leader of the New South Wales State Labour Party, Mr J. T. Lang, announced last night that he and his followers had formed a new party, to be known as the Australian Labour Party (non-Communist), the aims of which would be to have purely Australian control and rehabilitation of the State Labour Party. The new party will run its own candidates at the next Federal election. Mr Lang has nine followers in the State Assembly.
