CANTERBURY OPEN TOURNEY

Play, was continued in the Canterbury open croquet tournament yesterday in fine weather and a good standard was maintained. Results were;— Open Championship—Mrs Penn won by default from Mrs Maddren. Women's Championship—Mrs Penn beat Mrs Beanland, 26-20: Mrs Harvey beat Mrs Maddren, 26-18; Mrs Hadfieid beat Mrs Kellaway, 26-15. Intermediate Championship—Mrs Penn beat Mrs Owen, 26-11; Mrs Derrett beat Mrs Forrester. 26-19. Semi-final—Second life: Mrs Derrett beat Mrs Munn. 26-16.

Handicap Doubles—First heat (partner members of different clubs): Mrs Nettleton and H.
