FINNISH FAMILIES CARED FOR
Employers Help Soldiers
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, December 9.---The newspaper "Aftonbladet," in a dispatch from Helsinki, Finland, said to-day that Finnish employers were determined to play their part in the fight against the Russian invasion by attempting "to out-socialise" the Socialists, The newspaper said that investigation in factories at Helsinki revealed that families of soldiers ■ called to the, colours were receiving 40 • per cent, of the wages of their bread-winners in addition to a "war bonus" of 4 dollars each a month and special grants of 4 dollars for wives and 2 dollars for each child 8 month.
All of these payments, the newspaper said, were uniform in factories belonging to the Finnish Employers' Union, which includes most production units.
A Government decree also ordered a moratorium on the debts of all workers until after the war, the dispatch gaid, end interest on workers' debts was abolished for an indefinite period. _,.'..'..
