A WAR PROBLEM

TO THS BBITOB 0» TH» FBSSB. * Six The Allies entered into this war entirely on a matter of principle, to protect the weaker nations against the brutal attacks of Germany or any other totalitarian State; and this principle was wholeheartedly supported by the people of Great Britain and France. But Russia joined in with Germany to make*a complete job of Poland, and, not content with this diabolical contract, proceeded to attack Finland. Now the average man exr pected that the principle laid down by the Allies in regard to Germany would automatically apply to Russia, and that war would immediately be declared against this dictator nation. This course has not been taken, and it would greatly assist many people to have an explanation of this problem.—Yours, etc., PUZZLED. January 4, ,1940.
