DOMINION The forecast for the Dominion is:— For the most part fair to fine and warm, bat with some scattered rain developing later in the far south-west and south. An anti-cyclone extends to New Zealand from the west. Winds—Fresh westerlies in the far south. Elsewhere light to moderate ! and variable, with sea breezes on the coast. Seas (New Zealand waters! —Slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea—Light and variable winds and light seas in the northern portion. Freshening northwesterlies and rising seas in the southern portion. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER Yesterday was fine and sunny in. Christchurch with a light north-east-erly breeze throughout the day. The maximum temperature was 69 degrees. grees. At 1 o'clock this morning the sky was cloudy and there was no wind. The temperature w'as 60 degrees, and the barometer, at 101P.6 millibars ISO.llin) was rising slowly. IN OTHER PLACES Auckland—Conditions were sunny, with a moderate southerly wind. The maximum temperature was 73 degrees. The barometer was fairly steady at 5 p.m.. the reading being 30.06 inches (1018 millibars). Wellington—Yesterday was cloudy in the morning, but sunny in the afternoon, with a moderate north-west wind. The maximum temperature was 66.3 degrees. At 6 p..m. the temperature was 62.7 degrees. and the barometer 1016.1 millibars (30.01 inchesl. Dunedin—There was a moderate to fresh south-west wind yesterday, and temperatures were mild, although Uie sun shone brightly.
