CANTERBURY CYCLE CLUB’S SPORTS

RECORD ENTRY FOR TO-NIGHT A record entry has been received for the Canterbury Cash Cycle Club’s sports meeting to be held at English Park to-night. These cycling events are becoming increasingly popular with spectators and competitors, and to-night’s big fields should provide some of the best entertainment seen at the stadium. Thirty-one riders will take part in the mile and a half wheel-race, while the five miles points scratch race, which ■ will finish the night’s programme, has attracted a field of 20 of the best riders in New Zealand. Among those entered are I. Sutherland, J. H. Newlove, D. A. Morland, H. J. Smither, L. G. Thomson, D. A. Swanston. and A. J, Tomsoo.
