CHAMPIONSHIP DATES FIXED , “ CANTERBURY-WELLINGTON MEETING Dates for championship meetings and for the Canterbury-Wellington contest were approved at a meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association last evening. ■ Mr D. W. Bain presided. Fixtures for the second half of the season will include the following;— January 13—Inter-club meeting. January 20 —Canterbury athletes to visit West Coast. January 27—Canterbury-Wellington meeting in Christchurch. February 23 and ,24— Canterbury championships. March 2—Canterbury junior and women’s championships. March 8 and 9 —New Zealand championships at Wellington. March 9 or 23 —Prebbleton Club’s meeting (subject to club’s decision). March 16—New Zealand junior and women’s championships in Christchurch.-
March 25 (Easter Monday)— New Zealand University tournament in Christchurch. It was decided to invite South Canterbury athletes to compete at the ipter-club meeting at Rugby Park on January 13. At this meeting a relay system of competition may be introduced. -
