—■ ■ OFFICERS ELECTED A credit balance of £133,. after payment of expenses, including the purchase of 865 new books, was reported at the annual meeting of the Papanui Public Library subscribers this week. Officers elected were:—President, Mr E. C. Rawnsley; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Brett and G. Radford; lib-rarian-treasurer, Mrs M. M. Hall; secretary, Mr S. W. Young; auditor, Mr R. W. Morris; committee, Messrs E. G. Ayrey, T. A. Gates, D. Merritt, H. S. Clark.
