A Reminder Nominations for the Canterbury Park Trptting Club’s meeting will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. , On the Mend G. McKendry is making slow but steady improvement from the injuries he received through a fall at the August meeting at Addington, but it may be some time before he is able to drive again. He will not be in the sulky at Timaru, and there is a doubt as to whether his services will be available for the Christmas or New Year meetings. If he is well enough to drive he will probably visit Auckland, and will handle Token, Battlefield, and Battlevale in their Auckland engagements. Passengers from Chert- • sey will travel by the usual 9.9 a.m. , train, and join the special train at t Ashburton. The return train will I leave Timaru at 5.38 p.m., and is due at Christchurch at 9 p.m. A special ’ horse train will leave Christchurch at 6.10 a.m., and will leave on the-return journey at 6.20 p.m. For the convenience of race patrons, the 8.35 a.m. Christchurch-Invercargill express train will stop at Washdyke to set down passengers, and the Invercargill-Christ-church express train will, if required, stop at Washdyke to pick up passengers, ‘ -
