G. Forster, -R. Nock, J. Poison, T. Runt, Misses G. Emmerson, M. Owen, E. Baker, and the Rev. W. S. Southward. CHURCH GUILD ENTERTAINS A musical entertainment in aid of the parsonage fund was held in the Shirley Methodist schoolroom ,on Thursday. The hostesses were members pf the wpmen's guild, and Mrs S. H. provost (president) welcomed the visitors. Songs were sung by Mesdames Pugh and L. R. Salkeld, duetg by. Mesdames Ayiing and Mallard, and musical monologues and recitations were given by Mrs Holmes, The accompanist was Mrs Storie. . _ A competition was won by Mrs L. B. Salkeld. An apron stall in charge of- Mesdames A. W. Emmett and R. p. Wise, and a cake stall in charge -of Mesdames W. D, Marks and C. P. Moore, did brisk business. The amount raised was £ 10.
