FRIENDS OF ST. GEORGE’S

SUCCESSFUL FETE HELD For many years, the Friends of St. George’s Hospital held an annual Christmas market in aid of the hospital. ‘ For the last few years the market has been allowed to lapse, but yesterday a pleasant and profitable substitute was held in its place. Through the kindness of Canon and Mrs Stephen Parr, a garden fete was held at College House, and proved a great attraction ,to a large section of the public. Brisk business was done at the many well-stocked stalls arranged round the lawn, tea was served indoors, and games and competitions provided entertainment for the visitors. Financially the fete i was 'highly satisfactory.
