FRONTIER GUARD KILLED

(united press association—copyright.) (Received August 27, 11.30 p.m.) WARSAW, August 26. Frontier incidents are increasing in number and seriousness. Germans early this morning fired on a Polish railway station across the Slovak frontier near Baskidy Czarne. Germans on the Polish-East Prussian frontier are reported to have fired on frontier guards, one of whom was killed.

It is stated that Nazi Storm Troopers have been placed on four stations of the Polish railway system in Danzig. The Poles emphasise that while awaiting Herr Hitler’s proposals they will not acquiesce in a change in the status of Danzig,
