DUNEDIN. July 21. Commenting that he did so with considerable hesitation. Mr Justice Smith admitted George Rankin Aston, aged 29, to probation for 18 months on a conviction for attempted carnal knowledge. * - Frederick Gordon, aged 3 S, was admitted to probation for three year? and ordered to take out a prohibition order. Gordon had been convicted ol robbery with violence. Counsel said the offence occurred when the accused was in liquor and at a house where the conduct wag no credtt to thepersons there*
