Government of Iraq for the construction of works near Ramadi designed to arrest extensive flooding of the Euphrates and so convert thousands of acres of water-logged land into valuable agricultural areas. The scheme provides for diverting the flood waters at a point about 50 miles west of Bagdad and conveying them into Lake Habbaniyah. The work will occupy four years.
