ST. LUKE’S SCOUTS AND CUBS

BIRTHDAY PARTY AND ANNUAL MEETING The St. Luke’s boy scouts and wolf cub troops celebrated their twelfth and thirteenth birthdays in St. Luke’s Hall recently. The birthday party was presided over by the Ven. Archdeacon J. D. Russell, who welcomed the visitors and delegates from other troops. Scoutmaster W. Rush presented King’s Scout badges and cords to Scouts Ivan Bain, Laing Ingles, John Thomson, and Stanley Lord. Toasts were honoured, and an enjoyable programme presented by the cubs and scouts. After the concert the annual meeting of the committee was held. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted and the following officers were elected:—President, Archdeacon Russell; vice-president, Mr McKelvey; secretary, Mrs Ingles; treasurer, Mr T. Finder; committee, Mesdames Baker, Budd, Ericson, Rees, and Smith, Messrs Ericson, Grater, Glass, and Nuttall.
