Steel always in support. J. Doig and E. Henderson were the best Rakaia backs, both being sound in defence and dangerous in attack. Methven’s points came from three penalties kicked by Watson and a try by Lemon. For Rakaia D. Hurst kicked two penalties and J. Doig one. Mr S. Alexander was referee.
