FLYING SCHOOL INSPECTED

GROUP CAPTAIN COCHRANE AT WIGRAM

LAST ROUTINE VISIT AS CHIEF OF AIR STAFF

His second annual routine inspection of the Flying Training School at Wigram, and the last routine inspection he will make as Chief of the Air Staff of New Zealand, was carried out by Group Captain the Hon. R. A. Cochrane yesterday. Group Captain Cochrane was accompanied by his staff officer. Squadron Leader E. M. F. Grundy, and returned to Wellington late yesterday afternoon by air.

After taking a salute, Group Captain Cochrane inspected the new buildings under construction at the aerodrome, the staff quarters, machines, and general equipment. On his tour of the school, he was accompanied by Wing Commander G. S. Hudson, the commanding officer, and Flight Lieutenant R. A. Anderson, the adjutant.
