CHRISTCHURCH CLUB'S RACING

The Christchurch Premier Pigeon Club conducted a race from Hick's Bay recently. ■ The birds encountered bad weather for the 500 odd miles and several failed to get through in race time. The performance of Mr George Anderson in getting four birds together and winning the race ixl 21hr 46min 58sec after deducting time allowed for darkness was the outstanding Results were:—G. Anderson's No. 381, 716 yards a minute; G. Anderson's No. 642, 715 yds; B. Evans's Typhoon, 715 yds; G. Anderson's No. 229, 714 yds; G. Anderson s Nto. 348, 712 yds; McNeish Bros.' Harewood Lad. 710 yds; D. Broad's No. 596, 707 yds; A. Frandsen's P.D.Q., 682 yds; D. Broad s No. 591, 676 yds; B. Evans's Pussyfoot, 652 yds; G. Anderson's No. 371, 410 yds.
