ST. ANDREW’S COLLEGE

Presentation of Prizes

SUCCESSFUL PUPILS

Prizes won during the year by boys of St. Andrew’s College were presented at a ceremony held in Latimer Hall last night by Mrs H. DampierCrossley. There was a large attendance of parents and friends, over whom the chairman of the board of governors (the Rev. J. Lawson Robinson) presided. A comprehensive review of the activities of the college was given by the rector (Mr J. B. Mawson), in his annual report. Two bequests, which were deeply appreciated, had been made to the college, he said. By the will of Mr Robert Nairn, a sum of £250 had been made available, and a film projector, with full equipment, had been presented by Mr K. R. Wallace in memory of his father, Mr R. G. Wallace. A suitably inscribed plate would be placed on the projector. With the facilities now available,' it would open up fresh possibilities in methods of instruction, and would enable the college to keep abreast of the latest developments.
