PROGRAMME FOR NEW SEASON INTER-CLUB CONTESTS FIRST ROUND OF SERIES NEXT SATURDAY I The programme for the first half of the amateur athletic season has been drawn up by the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Centre as follows: November 12: First round, ihterclub competition. • November 19: Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club's open meeting. November 26:. Prebbleton open meeting, at Prebbleton Domain. December 3: Second round, interclub competition. December 10: Third round, lnterclub competition. December 17: Canterbury women's and junior championships. December 26 to January 1: Summer school at Timaru. December 27: Amateur meetings" at Temuka and Waimate. January 2: Caledonian Society meeting at Timaru. January 13: Fourth round-, inter-' club competition. All meetings will be held at Rugby Park unless otherwise stated. The draw for the first round of the competition at Rugby Park next Saturday is as follows:—Section I, University, Sydenham, Technical, New Brighton, Civil Service, and Air Force. Section H, Canterbury, Presbyterian, Old Boys, Westonian, Sumner, Rangiora. The programme will be as follows (with the events in their order):— Throwing the discus; women's 75 yards, 100 yards, one mile, v/omen's discus throw, long jump, women's 80 yards hurdles, 120 yards hurdles. women's long jump, putting the shot, 440 yards, women's 100 yards, hign jump, 220 yards hurdles, one mile walk. D. grade events: discus, 100 yards, long jump, 440 yards.
