BRITISH FASCIST UNION

LEADER DENIES REPORT OF RESIGNATION

LONDON, October 14. The first edition of the “Daily Telegraph” to-day published a letter announcing Sir Oswald Mosley’s resignation from the leadership of the British Fascist Union, but later editions described the letter as a forgery. These editions added Sir Oswald Mosley’s comment; "It is a silly joke. I know nothing about it.” Sir Oswald declared that he certainly had not resigned, and that the report was totally untrue. The letter to the “Daily Telegraph” was written on the union’s notepaper and it bore a forgery of Sir Oswald Mosley’s signature.
