MR KYLE'S SPEECH
TO THE EDITOI OT THE PRESS. Sir—l should like to congratulate Mr Kyle on the masterly way m which he has put Mr Sullivan in his place It is hopeless for Mr Sullivan to try to make the electors believe that they are not out to socialise the whole country, and I would point out to him that deeds speak louder than words. Why, they have even tried to bring our doctors to heel, but they will find that they are up against a brick wall Can you picture such men as Sir Hugh Acland and his equals becoming State servants? My reason for refusing to vote tor the Labour candidate is that the party in three years has clearly indicated that'it intends to model our country on the lines of Russia, and it will then be good-bye to home life, church life, and everything else that New Zealanders hold dear. I have followed legislation very carefully for many years, and this is my considered opinion.—Yours,- etc., „ „™ T AVON. August 26, 1938.
