TRANS-TASMAN AIR MAIL
♦ ALL MAJOR POINTS SETTLED EARLY START PREDICTED BY MR LYONS (Received June 24, 1 a.m.) CANBERRA, June 23. All major points affecting the conduct of the trans-Tasman air-mail service have been settled between the three operating companies. The Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons) stated to-day that outstanding difficulties would be discussed at a conference of the Dominion High Commissioners in London. The New Zealand service, which will operate from Auckland to Sydney, will begin at Christmas or early in the New Year.
