GRANTS TO CHILDREN’S HOMES
PROFITS FROM ART UNIONS (f»S»S ASSOCIATION TSCaoBAK.) WELLINGTON, June 23. The Government has decided lmake grants to the trustees of various registered children’s homes on the basis of £2 a head for each child inmate, the money to be allocated from &c ~ cumulated surplus profits pf art unions conducted for the relief of distress. The Minister for Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) said the money it was proposed to allocate should help these’ instiiutions and their pharges a gregt deal, during the winter months.
