THURSDAY (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) CASE ADJOURNED Christopher Leathern Hampton was charged with failing to pay a railway fare. The case was adjourned until June 30. FAILURE TO REGISTER FIREARMS James Maurice Anderson and William Laurence Courtenay Sampson were each fined 10s and were ordered to pay costs on charges of failing to register firearms. J. Hewitt) pleaded guilty tb charges of behaving in a disorderly manner in Madras street and unlaw-" fully carrying a dangerous weapon, to wit, an air pistol, in Madras street Mr Hewitt said that the pistol had beep left by a friend for Sales to see if he could find but what was wrong with it He had put ’ the pistol in his pocket to ask someone else about it, and had later gone to a girl friend’s home. When she came out with another man he had tried to speak with Her alone, and had• flourished the pistol in the other man’s face. Sales had followed the other pair to a dance and had again flourished the pistol. "He has been a stupid boy,” said the Magistrate in convicting Sales and ordering him to pay costs bn each charge.
