A PAPARUA COUNTY FOOTPATH
rg rum. aciTom o» raa t»u>. Sir, —It is . time the Paparua Council attended to .the disgraceful conditions of the footpath in Epsom road. The gorse hedge jis fully halfway across the track, artdiths long grass has practically taken cfiatge of the rest. There is also a tree'hanging in the middle about four feetWiff the ground. I have never seen th.w footpath in such a state for more 'ihan 31 years, to my knowledge. On irace days motor-cars were packed aloAg this road, and it was simply painful to the ladies to get along the path., We might as well have no member for, the Sockburn riding, for we ratepayers never get anything done. A nlc4> mess they are
making of the road at the comers of Watts road.—Yours, etc.. DISGUSTED. Sockburn, May 4, 1938. [Miss A. I. Freeman, county clerk of Paparua, would make no comment on this letter without knowing the name of the correspondent.]
