TWO ROUNDS PLAYED
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) PALMERSTON NORTH, April 27. The New Zealand autumn foursomes tourney opened yesterday under the auspices of the Ladies' Golf Union. There were more than 80 entries. The following were left in Bt the conclusion of the second round:—Mesdames Field and Speechley (Manawatu), Mesdames Welton Hogg (Wellington) and Alan Park (Hutt). who eliminated Mesdames Guy Williams and Shailer Weston (Wellington). Mesdames J. C Brown and B. Harvey (Wanganui), Mesdames A. M. Fleming and G. A. Duncan (Hutt), Mesdames G. H. Clark (Manawatu) and L. R. Curtis (New Plymouth), Mesdames G, Trevor and H. E. Edmunds (Manawatu j. Miss J. Duncan (Wanganui) and Mrs F. Rota (Hawera), Miss H. Griffin and Mrs L. Monkman (Hutt). Mesdames McElroy and Albertson (Miramar). Misses M. Jefferd (Hastings) and M. Davies (Napier). Mrs L. Blackley and Miss M. Ward (Wellington). Mesdames Mullaney and E. Simpson (Palmerston North), Mesdames A. G. Lawson and T, Buxton (Manawatu), Mrs A. E. Ekstedt and Miss I. CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUB
A bogey match was played at Shirley yesterday. Mrs E. J, Pumphrey won in the silver medal division and Miss J. Firth in the bronze medal division.
The following were the best scores:—. Silver Medal Division—Mrs E. J. Pumphrey 5 down, Mrs Middleton, Jun., 6 down. Miss Gould 6 down, Miss Loughnan G down.
Bronze Medal Division—Miss J. Firth 2 down, Miss M. Best 4 down, Mrs A. Boon 5 down. Miss WebD 6 down. Mrs W. A. C. McDonald 6 down, Mrs G. van Asch 6 down.
