RACES AT OAMARU: 23rd AND 26th MARCH. *JTRAIN ARRANGEMENTS: On Tuesday, 22nd March, Special Horse Train for Oamaru leaves Christchurch 9.0 a.m. On Saturday, 26th March, Special Passenger Train for Oamaru t leaves Christchurch 7.7 a.m. Stops Addington, Sockburn, Templeton, Rolleston, Dunsandel, Rakaia, Ashburton, Orari, Temuka, and Timaru to pick up, and at Oamaru Racecourse to set down passengers. Return passenger train leaves Oamaru 6.30 p.m. and arrives Christchurch 11.28 p.m. Stops at Timaru and where required North thereof to set down passengers. On Sunday, 27th March, Special Horse Train leaves Oamaru 9.40 a.m., Racecourse 10.20 a.m., and arrives Christchurch 3.59 p.m. FARES: On Saturday, 26th March, Excursion tickets will be issued to Oamaru by 7.7 a.m. special passenger train (stopping stations only) available for return by 6.30 p.m. train only.
