SYDNEY, March ML
Advice has been received that Flying Officer A. E. Clouston arrived at Darwin at 5.55 p.m., and expected to reach Sydney to-mor-row.
The “Telegraph” says that CHoaston has changed his plans, and is not going to New Zealand because of the necessity of returning to England earlier than he originally planned. He is attempting a flight to Sydney and back to England within seven days.
Clouston is expected to leave Darwin at 2 a.m. and arrive at Sydney in the afternoon- He will have a long sleep and then check over his aeroplane. He will leave on Sunday for Darwin, whence he anticipates leaving for England early on Monday morning.
Clouston landed at Singapore from Penang at 7.45 p.m. (GM.T.) on Thursday. He left for Darwin at 8.48 p.m. Fearing a shortage of petrol, Clouston had landed at Penang at 3.5 p.m. (G.M.T.). He experienced bad weather in the Bay of Bengal, and rested for a couple of hours before taking off again for Singapore at 5.45 p.m. -
