FINANCIAL SIDE OF FOREIGN POLITICS

TO TUE EDITOR TUB PBESH. Sir, —A correspondent, F. W. Heal, states that “Nazism in its struggle for independence is opposed primarily by financial dictatorship interests from the outside.” To those who make a-keen, though somewhat amateurish study of foreign politics, it is often difficult to find access to facts that can be readily understood regarding the truth of Germany’s attitude towards this outside financial dictatorship. According to General Ludendorff. the Hitler movement, with which he was associated before its advent to power, was directed against a regime w.Vhch he asserted placed Germany under Jewish control. On December 15; 1.931, Mr Louis McFadden, who was for 12 yiars up to 1931 chairman of the United States House of Representatives Banking and Currency Committee, stated in Congress, “I wish to emphasise the fact that international finance is almost exclusively German. . . . After the world war Germany fell into the hands of German international bankers. . . . There is no country in the world to-day of which the inhabitants are so enslaved as are the Germans. . . . The Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks (‘institutions which had been established in America by bankers who came from Europe and foisted them upon the country’) have pumped so many billions of dollars into Germany that they dare not name the total. Do you know that Germany has been lending our money to Soviet Russia as fast as she could get it out of this country from the Federal Reserve Board and banks? Do you know that she is author of the Five Year Plan: that she has armed and supolie.-t Soviet Russia with our money? The Government and the people of the United States have been swindled by swindlers de luxe. . . . That is what happens when a country forsakes irs constitution and gives its sovereignty over public currency to private interests. Give them the flag, and they will sell it.”

Thus it seems that Germany before the Hitler regime was being used by international financiers as an intermediary in the policy of financing Soviet Russia, a policy which, according to Mr McFadden, was intimately bound up with the exploits of Ivar Kreugar. With the advent of the Hitler regime the’ Germans’ deep-seated loathing of the Jew found, and still finds, expression. Is this hatred consciously extended towards Jewish financiers outside Germany, who your correspondent asserts are opposed to Nazism? Coupled with Germany’s intense anti-Commun-ist outlook, recent events certainly appear to confirm his statement, and it requires very little intuition to arrive at the conclusion that under Hitler Germany to-day is striving for complete independence from the Jewish international money monopoly.—Yours, gtc ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY.
