REVIVING INTEREST IN RUGBY
ACTION IN INANGAHUA DISTRICT An endeavour is being made this season to stimulate and revive Rugby football in the* Inangahua district To this end a, meeting was held in Keaton, and it was decided to request the New Zealand Rugby Union to consent to the formation of a separate district Rugby Union for Inangahua, with boundaries from Lewis Pas m the north to Ahaura and to Benins, and the boundaries of the Murchison sub-union district Meetings are to be held at Ikamatua, Waiuta. and at Ahaura, to enrol players. . The season will begin at the end ci this month, and with a keen committee of management ‘in Reefton. and with the support of the country teams, it is hoped again to see Rugby football played regularly locally. For some seasons the sport has been on toe wane in the Inangahua district Because of lack of players
