AIR STRENGTH OF CHINESE
CAPABLE OF ATTACK ON
JAPAN
TOKYO, February 24.
Acceding to the "Asahi Shimbun," the Chinese air raid on Formosa, which resulted in 10 being killed and 30 wounded, was carried out by aeroplanes from Foochow and Swatow. *!_«.«,«. Admiral Noda believes that the Chinese possess aeroplanes capable of attacking Japan which, nevertheless, is ready. The Chinese declare that a row of hangars and 40 Japanese aeroplanes were destroyed in the raid.
OUTRAGE IN NEWSPAPER OFFICE
BOMB THROWER SHOT DEAD
IN SHANGHAI
SHANGHAI, February 24.
For the second time within a month a bomb was thrown into the offices of the American-owned newspaper "Hawamei Pao." Although wounded, a Chinese policeman shot dead the bomb thrower and arrested his accomplice. Ten employees of the newspaper were injured and the building was extensively damaged. ___________
