LOADING DISPUTE AT NORTHERN PORTS

MINISTER ASKS ADHERENCE TO COURT’S RULING [From Our Parliamentary ReporterJ WELLINGTON. February 23. Pleasure at the outcome of the dispute which has held up work on coastal vessels in some North Island ports was expressed by the Minister for Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong! in a brief statement which he issued this evening. Mr Armstrong said: ‘T am pleased to learn that temporary arrangements have been made to resume work on small coastal vessels at Napier and Gisborne, and I understand that the question in dispute was before the Arbitration Court yesterday. I trust that all parties will abide by the decision of the Court when it is issued, and that the work will continue in future without interruption."
