WILL DENOUNCE TREATY?
REPORTED HUNGARIAN * INTENTION LIMITATION OF ARMED FORCES (united press association— copyright.) (Received February 23, 8.45 p.m.) LONDON, February 23. The Budapest correspondent of the “Evening News” says it is reported that Hungary intends to denounce the Treaty of Trdanon, which limits her army to 35,000 men of all ranks and forbids her an air force. Bulgaria is the only other party to the post-war settlements which is observing the Allies’ conditions. The Treaty of Trianon, which was ratified by Hungary on November 13, 1920, also laid down that conscriptionwas to be abolished. Voluntary recruiting has been substituted. No reserves or measures for mobilis-ation-are permitted by the treaty. NAZI PARTY MUST DISSOLVE LEADERS ARRESTED IN HUNGARY PLOT AGAINST GOVERNMENT REVEALED BUDAPEST, February 22. The Hungarian Nazi Party has been ordered to dissolve. Seventytwo members are under arrest. The police raided the Nazi headquarters and arrested 50 persons, including the leader, Major Szalasi, and the second-in-command, Captain Szechenyi. The police state that they seized highly compromising documents at the ITazi headquarters, including a plan by which Major Szalasi intended to overthrow the Government.
