WANTED—A PIANO

FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN This week the Education Department has opened a school at the Christchurch Hospital for the children who have suffered disability as the result of infantile paralysis. Miss Millicent Kennedy, M.A., who recently returned to Christchurch from Geneva, is In charge of the school. She says a piano is an urgent necessity for class singing, organised games, apd exercises, and has asked the Ladv Editor or “The Press” to appeal to readers for the loan of a piano for her little crippled pupils. A few months ago a similar appeal was made on behalf of the' Children's Fresh Air Home, and before 9 a.m. of the day on which the appeal was published in “The Press.” Mrs Edmund Cross offered the use of a piano, which has proved a great boon to the children in the Fresh Air Home.

Should any kind reader oe prepared to lend a piano to the crippled children’s school, the owner is assured that the instrument will not be Illused. as Miss Kennedy is herself an accomplished musician.
