A SUCCESSFUL YEAR

CANTERBURY PILGRIMS' ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING HELD "Generallv we have had quite a successful year," said the president, Mr E. R. Webb, at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Pilgrims' and Early Settlers' Association last evening. The balance-sheet showed a healthy position, he said. "It is pleasing to see that the members are still attending quarterly gatherings well," said Mr H. L. Bowker, commenting on the annual report. I notice that the membership is practically the same as last year, and out of 923 ordinary members there are only about 200 who are not financial." Lovell-Smith, H. L. Bowker. W.. T., McKay, G. Whitelaw, and J. Brandon; auditor. Mr C. K. Sams; secretary, Mr G. W. Hungerford. The secretary was instructed to thank the council for the use of a room for meetings. At a subsequent meeting of the committee it was decided to hold the next gathering on March 5.
