REDCLIFFS BURGESSES’ ASSOCIATION

o The monthly meeting of the Redcliffs Burgesses’ Association was held recently, with Mr Nettleton presiding. Advice was received from the Sumner Borough Council that prices were being obtained for the ploughing and discing of the Estuary Road Reserve. It was dedided to bring the rough condition of Estuary road and Celia street under the council’s notice. A circular from the United Burgesses’ Association about methods of rubbish disposal in London boroughs was lead, but members considered that Christchurch city affairs did not concern Sumner borough.
