IRISH FREE STATE OR FIRE?

TO THE EDITOR OF TUB PRESS. Sir .—I am a casual reader of “The Press,” and am mildly interested m the controversy concerning “Irish Free State or Eire?” Could those, better informed on this particular subject explain to me why Kerry, the most southern part of Erin, which is, if my memory is correct, a country composed of 32 counties, has by historians been called the “Royal and Ancient Kingdom of Kerry." To impose on good nature and, I am afraid, assert my ignorance, could anyone give me the exact geographical position of Stonehenee England.—Yours, etc.. g ‘ UNITED IRISHMAN. February 2. 1938. [Subject to the right of reply of Miss jclMt, this correspondence is now closed.—Ed. “The Press.”!
