NEW HEADMASTER WELCOMED

REOPENING OF HORNBY SCHOOL Mr F A. McTeigue. chairman of the Hornby School Committee and the former headmaster (the Hon. F. E. O’Flynn) attended the opening of the Hornby School on Tuesday morning, when the newly-appointed headmaster, Mr Gamble (formerly of the Riccarton School), took up his duties. Mr McTeigue welcomed Mr Gamble for the committee and the parents, and said he felt sure that he would do good work in the school. Mr O’Flynn said he had known Mr Gamble for many years, and he hoped and believed that he would prove a worthy successor of the former head teachers of the school.
