NEXT NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS BALMACEWAN COURSE SELECTED [THE PRESS Special Service.! DUNEDIN, December 6. A decision to hold the next New Zealand golf championships at Balmacewan links was reached at a meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council in Wellington to-day. The Otago Club has been asked to nominate the date for the meeting, which will probably be held early in November. In anticipation of the holding of the Dominion championships in Dunedin, the club has recently embarked on a substantial expenditure on improvements to the course, which should provide a good test of ability of players who will be present from all parts of New Zealand. The last occasion on which the New Zealand championships were held in Dunedin was in 1928. On that occasion S. Morpeth -won the open championship, T. H. Horton the amateur championship, and A, J. Shaw the professional title. RAWHITI CLUB The following were the best cards handed in in a stroke handicap played at Hawhiti over the week-end:—L. RossSmith 72 gross, 9 handicap, 63 net; M. Taylor 79, 12—67; Mrs A. L. Large 94, 27 67; A. B. Boot, 84, 16—68; E. Day, 87, 18— 69; E. P. Miller 82, 13—69; H. Boardman 83, 14—69; A. J. Manning 89, 20—69. HAGLEY CLUB The following were the best cards returned in a Stableford handicap, played at Hagley:—M. Foley, 25, 8—33; H. L. Vincent, 10, 23—33; R. McCrone, 18, 14— 32; J. R. Woodward, 17, 15—32; A.
