STATUE OF CANNING IN ARGENTINE

RUGBY, December 4.
The British Ambassador (Sir Esmond Ovey) will unveil to-day in the Argentine a statue in honour of the former British Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary, George Canning, who recognised the independence of the Argentine in 1824.
